Yes, you can stop recurring notifications on Pixel devices

If you’re one of those people who uses both a Pixel phone and a Pixel tablet, you’ve probably experienced the notification overload that comes with having the two devices mirror each other. Fortunately, Google heard the demand for a solution and added a great new feature to Android 15 that will make life much easier for these people.

Simply called “Turn off notifications on your Pixel devices,” this new addition does exactly what it says: remove unnecessary notifications. When you check a notification on your phone, the notification disappears from your tablet and vice versa. It’s a small change, but it makes a big difference in managing the daily digital notification overload.

How to activate

  1. Go to Settings: Grab your Pixel phone or tablet and go to the Settings app.
  2. Find Notifications: Scroll down until you find the “Notifications” option and tap on it.
  3. Enable Cross-Device Shutdown: Look for “Decline notifications on Pixel devices.” After tapping, select the Google account you want this to apply to.
  4. Turn on: Flip this switch and enjoy a streamlined notification experience.

It’s worth noting that this feature isn’t enabled by default, so you’ll have to manually turn it on for each of your Pixel devices. But that’s often a small price to pay for a smoother, more organized digital life, right?
