Yes, former MP Kim attended the Changwon District Prosecutor’s Office at around 10:10 today.

Before the investigation, former lawmaker Kim repeatedly denied the allegations, claiming that Kang Hye-kyung, who was in charge of accounting, was responsible for the alleged violation of the Political Funding Law.

Today’s investigation is the second since former MP Kim was turned into a suspect.

We were investigated for about 12 hours yesterday.

Kim confirmed yesterday that the money transferred to Myung Tae-kyun after he was elected in Changwon’s Uichang district in the 2022 by-election was 60 million won.

The prosecution suspects that former lawmaker Kim asked Myung to nominate him and then received money in return.

Therefore, he was referenced last June, but this time he is being investigated as a suspect.

However, former MP Kim denied the allegations, so let’s hear it out.

Kang Hye-kyung, who was previously in charge of accounting, claimed in the parliamentary audit that Myung was nominated by former MP Kim in exchange for “illegal polls” against Yoon Suk Yeol during the last presidential election.

As a result, Myung was nominated by the president and his wife to former MP Kim and in turn handed over the money, which Kim denied.

The prosecution is expected to soon summon Myung, a key party to the allegation, for investigation.
