The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey is the Subject of Upcoming Netflix Documentaries

A new Netflix three-part docuseries, Unsolved Case: Who Killed JonBenét Ramsey, It starts broadcasting on Monday, November 25. An exclusive trailer is shown below.

The docuseries, from Academy Award-nominated director Joe Berlinger, “explores the mishandling of the case by law enforcement and the media, ultimately revealing the relatively simple steps that can be taken to finally solve perhaps the most infamous unsolved case of all time.” The statement from the network was shared with PEOPLE.

The Ramsey family was under intense scrutiny from the beginning. Speculation arose in the media that someone close to JonBenet, perhaps a family member, was involved, citing the unique circumstances of the crime. The Ramseys have long denied any involvement in their daughter’s murder or speculation that she was the now-deceased Patsy. author of ransom note. Another theory centered on a potential intruderMichael Helgoth was the owner of a pair of boots that resembled a fingerprint found at the scene. Helgoth was initially investigated by police, but he died by suicide in 1997 and investigators began looking elsewhere.

Later in 2006, a potential suspect confessed to the murder, but investigators later acknowledged that confession was false. But he was never officially considered a suspect.
