Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reports multiple assaults and charges filed

STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported two separate assault incidents over the weekend, both of which resulted in multiple charges. The incidents were detailed in the Daily Incident Report published on Monday.

The first incident occurred on Ringgold Road at around 3.34pm on November 2; where deputies responded to an alleged assault involving a man and his girlfriend’s father. According to the report, the suspect was charged with assault and battery. He was later released on condition of judicial control.

That same evening, around 6 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a basketball court on Anvil Road following reports of a fight. The altercation initially involved teenagers arguing over a football game, but tensions escalated when deputies were on the scene when adults became involved in a separate physical fight. Authorities immediately intervened to break up the second fight.

Following the investigation, the three adults were charged with assault and battery, as well as disorderly conduct, and were released on probation. The four young people involved in the first fight filed a criminal complaint for assault, battery and disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the people involved or the nature of the disputes.
