Palace appoints Fadullon as chief prosecutor

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed prosecutor Richard Fadullon as chief prosecutor of the National Prosecuting Service (NPS), Malacañang confirmed on Monday.

The appointment document, sent to Minister of Justice Jesus Crispin Remulla and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, was dated 30 October 2024.

Fadullon replaces former attorney general Benedicto Malcontento, who resigned last month after five years of service.

Fadullon served as a senior assistant prosecutor for several years.

He had been working at the Ministry of Justice since April 1994.
