Sex worker claims she met Sheffield murder victim over drugs

The court heard Ms Moore became a sex worker to fund her drug addiction, which she said began at the age of 14 after the murder of her drug dealer boyfriend.

He told the jury he was working in Sheffield’s red light district on March 8 and had “smoked and consumed a lot of drugs”.

He said he encountered two teenagers when he went to a co-worker’s house to buy more crack cocaine.

The court previously heard the children, who cannot be named because of their age, were involved in running the drugs supply line.

Ms Moore said she asked them for drugs but “they only had heroin” and then gave them the phone number of someone called “Ghost”, who the court heard was Mr Ali.

“When I called the phone a second time, it was answered,” said Ms Moore, who has a previous conviction for drug and assault offences.

“I asked her if I could buy crack cocaine and we talked about sex work.

“He said he was interested in doing business with me.”
