Trump calls Imane Khelif’s presence in women’s boxing ‘degrading to women’

Trump has been outspoken about gender conformity in women’s sports. He specifically mentioned Khelif in an interview with The Undertaker’s podcast, Six Feet Under.

The former president said it was “unfair” for women to take part in boxing, adding that it was “degrading to women” and added that “women should compete against women.”

He brought up Khelif’s victory over Italian fighter Angela Carini in Paris, implying that the contest was lopsided.

“That Italian girl threw a punch I’ve never seen before. He (Khelif) came in with another left jab and he realized: ‘There’s no way I’m going to win.’”
