A woman accidentally shot and killed her son in Meru

police inside Meru District Nkubu is investigating an incident involving a woman. He accidentally shot and killed his two-year-old son.

Police said that the woman, a farm worker, was digging with her two-year-old and six-month-old child.

While the late boy was still doing the work, he slipped and fell forward and accidentally hit the back of his head with the fork jembe, resulting in a deep cut wound on his head.

The child was taken to a private clinic in Kionyo Market, where he received first aid and was later taken to Consolata Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The baby’s body was taken to Kanyaki Hospital Morgue to complete the autopsy.

Police said investigations are ongoing.

Three men were trapped in a mine in Ketere, Migori County, when the mine collapsed while they were working.

Police officers who confirmed the accident said that three people aged between 21 and 39 suffered injuries to their head, right leg and right hand.

Police said that they received a report about the collapsed gold mine and when they went to the scene, they discovered that the mine was illegal.

Six people were trapped in the 600 ft deep gold mine, and the mine collapsed in the second section, approximately 200 ft deep.

Police said the six people were taken out of the mine by local miners who took action. There were no deaths.

All three were taken to Rongo District Hospital for treatment, while one of the men was discharged in good condition.

The other two victims were transferred to Migori District Hospital for specialized treatment, where their condition was serious but stable. The other three escaped unharmed and disappeared immediately.

In another incident, a 52-year-old man was found dead in his room on Nairobi’s Biashara Street.

Police arrived at the scene and found the body kneeling on the bed without any physical injuries.

Police added that the cause of death could not be immediately determined.

Police said the body was photographed and taken to the City Morgue for autopsy.
