McDonald’s employee accused of showing sexually explicit content involving child

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police arrested a McDonald’s employee after they say he showed nude photos and videos of a child.

Craighead County Circuit Judge David Boiling found probable cause on Monday, Nov. 4, to charge Laquoia Staples with distributing, possessing and viewing materials depicting sexual conduct involving a child.

According to testimony, Staples showed the video and images to a person he was talking to at work on Wednesday, October 30.

During the interview, Staples denied showing the videos, and the affidavit said he had no way of knowing “due to the length of time he had the videos.”

However, video footage showed Staples showing the videos and images to the person at a table at McDonald’s.

Staples is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on $10,000 cash/surety. The hearing date is scheduled for Friday, January 24.
