A youth was allegedly killed and stabbed in Mirkadim, Munshiganj, after being called from his home.

Police detained a suspect, identified as Faisal, regarding the incident.

The deceased, 23-year-old Shubho Bepari, died of his injuries early yesterday morning (November 4) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where he had been receiving treatment since Saturday night, November 2, after being seriously injured in a knife attack that took place in the middle of the night. .

According to police, the young man was seriously injured in his abdomen after an attack by a rival group. He was initially taken to Munshiganj General Hospital but was later transferred to DMCH due to the seriousness of his condition.

Shubho was a resident of Kalindipara in Mirkadim and was the son of Mukul Bepari.

Munshiganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalilur Rahman said, “After receiving information about the incident, we detained a youth named Faisal from the area.”

“Further legal steps will be taken in this case following the autopsy.”
