Nebraska hires Dana Holgorsen as offensive analyst

Who is Dana Holgorsen?

Holgorsen was most recently the head coach of Houston football from 2019 to 2023, posting a 31-28 record. However, he was fired by the Cougars after the 2023 season after the team struggled in its first season in the Big 12 Conference, going 4-8. Houston paid Holgorsen $14.8 million more than four years for its acquisition. The Cougars were 12-2 in 2021 and 8-5 in 2022 before the conference move.

Prior to Houston, Holgorsen began his head coaching career at West Virginia from 2011-18. Achieved a record of 61-41 climbers over eight seasons, including a 10-3 record in the 2016 season.
