Buckshot Speaks Out for First Time Since Brutal Attack

Buckshot— best known as one half of Black Moon and a member of the Boot Camp Clik — is speaking out in the wake of the brutal attack that sent him to the hospital.

In a statement obtained AllHipHopThe 49-year-old proud Brooklyn native acknowledged the seriousness of the incident and explained that it involved some property he owns in the Flatbush neighborhood.

“Thank you to all my friends, fans, and supporters for reaching out to me during this difficult time,” he began. “I was recently the victim of a violent attack involving multiple individuals armed with weapons, including handguns. “This attack stems from ongoing disputes over my property, which I am the rightful owner of but have been facing problems with unauthorized invaders who have escalated the situation into violence.”

Buckshot also expressed his deep sorrow for the attack that took place in his hometown. He continued: “As someone who has been an entertainer and a part of this community for over 30 years, I am deeply disturbed that this would happen in the New York City that I love and call home. “This type of violence has no place here, and I urge everyone to come together to make New York a safer and better place for all of us.”

Buckshot concluded his statement with not only another call to action, but also a promise to hold the suspects accountable.

“I am currently recovering from my injuries and am working closely with my legal team and law enforcement to ensure this matter is handled properly,” he said. “We are determined to see justice served and I ask for your patience and support as the legal process progresses. Thank you again for all your good wishes. “Let’s end the violence and help rebuild a stronger, safer New York.”

The violent attack took place on Thursday, October 31, and instead of helping, someone decided to film it. A striking video was shared on social media following the beating, which left Buckshot bloody and bruised. He was eventually taken to a local hospital.

Support began pouring in for Buckshot following the attack, with many of his colleagues hoping for a speedy recovery.
