Mandurah: Joshua Morrison charged with serious sexual assault without consent during house burglary

A man is facing serious sexual assault charges after allegedly burglarizing a house in the Mandurah suburb of Coodanup in May.

Joshua Stephen Morrison, 36, appeared in Perth Magistrates Court via video link from prison on Friday and has yet to enter a plea to 10 charges relating to the May 29 incident, including careless driving to evade police pursuit.

Mr Morrison is charged with three counts of aggravated sexual intercourse without consent during the course of aggravated burglary and burglary, as well as one count of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated indecent assault.

He is also charged with theft of a motor vehicle at Coodanup, having no authority to drive and failing to comply with the instructions of a police officer at Myalup.

He appeared before Deputy Chief Justice Libby Woods, who ordered Mr Morrison to appear before the same court again on November 29.
