Former rape crisis worker ‘harassed’ over gender views as SNP demands definition of ‘woman’

In a statement and public apology following the award of nearly twice as much compensation as previously expected, Ms Adams said she was “grateful” and that the money “will allow me to spend some time resting as a first priority”.

She said: “It is now more important to me that there is meaningful change at the ERCC, the Scottish Rape Crisis and the Scottish Government.

“My priority is that all survivors of sexual violence can make a truly informed choice about the service they seek and can trust who will support them.

“To rebuild this trust, I call on these organizations to provide a clear definition of ‘woman’.”

He expressed his delight that ERCC representatives visited Beira’s Place, a women-only women’s shelter in the city. Founded by JK Rowling. The ERCC is an independent body but operates under the umbrella of Rape Crisis Scotland.

Ms Adams said she hoped “this shows that some seeds of change are being planted and bridges are starting to be built”.

‘By nature hateful’

The court ruled in May that the ERCC’s investigation into Ms Adams was “clearly motivated by a strong belief among senior management and some of the plaintiff’s colleagues that the plaintiff’s views were hateful in nature”.

It was stated that Wadhwa, who does not have a gender recognition certificate, “is the person who selects and communicates with the person who will deal with the various stages of the disciplinary and grievance process”.

Ms. Adams also realized that as a matter of policy, the center would never “direct people to Beira’s Place or even advise them of its existence.”

Wadhwa resigned After the court ruling, Sandy Brindley, chief executive of Rape Crisis Scotland, resisted calls to pursue the case.

In the solution decision announced by him TimesMr McFatridge ordered Ms Adams to publicly apologize for claiming the ERCC was transphobic and accept there was no evidence to support this.

The judge also ordered the center to admit that its disciplinary action was wrong and to begin referring sexual assault survivors to Beira’s Place. Ms. Rowling reacted to the suggestion on social media by saying, “Finally.”

gender ideology

The ERCC also needed to accept that Ms Adams “was driven by a desire to act in the best interests of service users when she asked the service user how to respond” and that nothing she did amounted to bullying or harassment.

Mr McFatridge said he must accept responsibility for harassing and discriminating against Ms Adams “because of her gender-critical beliefs”.

But the judge said it was not the court’s role to “join one side or another of the debate” on a broader debate about gender ideology.
