Man found dead with gunshot wounds in Kalamazoo identified

KALAMAZOO, Michigan — Authorities have identified the man involved in the incident found dead He suffered a gunshot wound in Kalamazoo late Monday night.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDSP) said Paris Anton Powe, 34, of Kalamazoo, was found inside a car in the 400 block of Egleston Boulevard just before 10:30 p.m. Powe was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 40-year-old man was also found with gunshot wounds but was said to be expected to survive.

KDPS offers its condolences to Paris’s loved ones.
