According to an Athens-Clarke County Police incident report obtained by ESPN, a 20-year-old woman who identified herself as Young’s ex-girlfriend told police she went to his home to discuss their relationship.

When the conversation escalated after she learned he was on the phone with another woman, the complainant said Young “grabbed her left arm near her bicep and triceps and physically dragged her out of her room.” The woman said Young “made derogatory remarks and humiliated her.” He said Young went back to his room and locked the door.

The woman told police she started packing her belongings after a friend called her phone. When she responded, the woman told police: “Mr. Young came out and grabbed her from behind. She said he lifted her up and started squeezing her torso and abdomen very hard. She said she felt (Young) trying to lift her up to hurt her.”

The police officer noted in his report that he observed bruising and discoloration on the woman’s lower breast, where it meets the abdomen, and redness on the right side. The police officer transported the woman to a hospital in Athens for treatment.

In an affidavit released Wednesday by Young’s attorney, Kim Stephens, the woman said the police report was “slanted and did not accurately portray what happened on October 8.”

In her statement, the woman said, “I went to Colbie’s house late at night and talked to her about our relationship and my pregnancy.” “Colbie asked me to leave more than once while I was there. I didn’t leave until I felt sorry for her and didn’t think our conversation was productive.”

“Colbie did not put his hands on me in any inappropriate or unwanted way during the conversation or argument. He did not hit me. He did not push me. He did not leave me with any bruises or marks. He did not injure me in any way.”

On Oct. 14, the woman asked the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s Office to dismiss the charges against Young, according to the affidavit. The woman told prosecutors she has since made several requests.

“As evidenced by the affidavit, Colbie Young has committed no crime in this matter and all charges against her must be immediately dismissed,” Stephens told ESPN in a statement Wednesday. he said. “Likewise, because the affidavit fully exonerates Mr. Young, the University of Georgia must allow Mr. Young to return to all team activities, including participation in games.”

Stephens said he forwarded the woman’s statement to the university and prosecutors.

Reached by ESPN for comment Wednesday, Georgia athletics department spokesman Steven Drummond reiterated that the case is a legal matter and the school would have no further comment.

Young was suspended from the team by Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart the day after the incident.

“He has been suspended indefinitely until this legal matter is resolved,” Smart said. “We cannot comment further on the specifics of this matter, but I had a good meeting with him this morning.
