External inspection possible on the Sark Old Island Hall line

Dr McCullough deals with complaints about politicians in Jersey and Guernsey.

A report to Chief Pleas stated: “The recommended course of action is for an independent report to be prepared by Dr. McCullough on the events surrounding the lease for Old Island Hall.

“This recommendation is based on procedural errors and the need for a broader investigation than the CoC Panel can provide.”

It was stated that Dr McCullough’s terms of reference would allow for “a comprehensive review of all relevant parties and actions”.

The independent report will be presented to Chief Pleas along with the CoC Panel’s findings of acceptance, rejection or discussion, the report stated.

An extraordinary meeting of the Chief Pleas was scheduled for November 13 to consider the recommendation.
