Houston Cinematic Arts Festival is proof that the Bayou City has a place for cinema, too

Houston – 16th annual Houston Cinematic Arts Festival It starts today!

The series promises a series of unique films, dozens of interactive experiences and discussions with filmmakers that will celebrate Houston’s rich cultural diversity. The festival runs for 11 days at multiple venues around the city and offers Houstonians the chance to welcome local and international stories to the big screen.

Houston Cinematic Arts Society Executive Director Katie Creeggan-Ríos joins Houston Latin Film Festival director Dave Cebrero will explain the festival’s mission and its partnership with LFF.

One of the important events we are looking forward to is the 10th anniversary celebration. CineSpaceA competition in partnership with NASA that invites filmmakers from around the world to incorporate NASA archival footage into their films. filmmaker Richard Linklatera Houston native, will be judging CineSpace entries and winners will be awarded cash prizes.

Tickets for individual screenings range from $10 to $18, while all-access tickets for the full festival experience, including private parties and concerts, sell for $250.
