One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Lansing on Wednesday evening.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — One person was killed when two vehicles collided on the K-7 and 4H highway just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Lansing Police Department said a small Honda passenger car attempted to turn left from K-7 onto Route 4H.

The car was hit by a large southbound tour bus.

The car caught fire and an adult male from Leavenworth was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were 6 people on the bus, but no one was injured.

The intersection was closed to traffic for hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.
