Fadnavis promises free electricity, loan waivers and women empowerment schemes at farm belt rally

Nagpur/Yavatmal: Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who is campaigning for BJP candidates in the suicidal Yavatmal district of the farm, while explaining financial assistance to farmers, promised that the shortcomings will be addressed in the next five years. Fadnavis also highlighted the impact of the government’s flagship Ladki Bahin Yojana.
He said the government’s women-centric policies ensured that the girl child gets timely education and has a career of her choice. He warned that these plans could be stopped if the MVA came to power and pleaded for Mahayuti to return to power.
Deputy CM marched for Yavatmal city candidate Madan Yerawar, Arni candidate Raju Todsam and Umarkhed’s Kisan Wankhede on Thursday. In Arni, Fadnavis promised free electricity for the next five years if the BJP remains in power. He also promised compensation (price difference) to farmers under the Bhavantar scheme in case the prices of their produce fall and assured that villages will not be displaced under the Lower Painganga Project.
Fadnavis also stated that work will be done to establish a textile park in Yavatmal district. “Mahayuti has decided to provide free electricity. Farmers have received zero bills. Farmers will not need to pay electricity bills for the next five years. Not only this, solar pumps will also be provided to make them independent for the next 25 years. Farmers demand 24/7 electricity demand “We are setting up the country’s first agricultural power company in Maharashtra, which will generate 14,000 MW using solar energy in the next two years, and farmers will no longer need to risk nights to work on farms,” ​​he said.
Fadnavis added that 90 percent subsidy is given for drip irrigation for optimum use of water. “The payment of PM Kisan Samman Yojana has increased to Rs 12,000. If it is voted back, we will make it Rs 15,000 per farmer. After coming back to power, farmers will be given loan waiver,” he said. After the completion of the country’s largest river linking project, Wainganga-Nalganga, there will be a surplus of water in the region. “One lakh acres will come under irrigation projects. The 550 km river will cover 10 lakh acres of land in Vidarbha,” he said.
