Chesapeake driver killed after car left road and crashed into tree: CPD

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake police responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash around 11:28 a.m. Thursday morning between the intersection of Bruce Road and Peppercorn Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they determined that the driver, an adult male, had “swerved off the roadway and struck a tree” and died at the scene.

Police said the cause of the crash was unknown and there were no signs of foul play. The investigation into the accident continues.
