On Nov. 5, the SPD Street Crimes Unit located the suspect vehicle in the 1600 block of S. 16th Street. The investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant.

The Crime Unit and other officers executed the warrant without incident, and a search of the home resulted in the discovery of a Glock 20 with auto switch and a Springfield Armory 9mm. The guns seized in the search were identical to the firearms stolen in the burglary in Bloomington.

SPD said other items taken during the burglary were also seized during the search.

Two people were detained. Frank K. Anderson, 23, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm without a FOID. Bradford L. House, 20, of Springfield, was arrested for unlawful use of a machine gun and possession of a firearm without a FOID.

SPD asks anyone with information regarding the case to call them at 217-788-8311 and/or Sangamon and Menard County Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427.
