Philadelphia police are trying to identify man suspected of sexually assaulting a child

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police need the public’s help identifying a man suspected of sexually assaulting a child.

Police released an image of the man taken at the Broad and Olney Transportation Center hours before the attack.

In the photo, he is shoeless and his right eye is bandaged.

He is known to travel frequently to Center City and use the Broad Street and Market-Frankford lines.

Police said the attack happened around 1:15 a.m. on Nov. 2 in the 800 block of Chestnut Street.
