Justice served: Life Sentences for Tragic Crimes of 2021

On Friday, a local court made a historic decision, sentencing three people to life imprisonment for the horrific crime committed in November 2021.

The Dakshina Kannada district sessions court found Jay Singh, Mukesh Singh and Manish Tirki guilty of raping and murdering an eight-year-old girl.

Taking advantage of the girl’s parents’ alcohol addiction, the trio took her to a tile factory and committed heinous acts before dismembering her body and dumping it in a drain. The case filed under the POCSO Act and IPC took place within the jurisdiction of Mangaluru rural police station.
