In yet another ‘not a drag queen’ story, Jason C. Yates, 55, former CEO of My Faith Votes, the organization known for its voter support for Trump, was charged with possession of child pornography. MAGA evangelical leader was accused Eight felony charges were filed last month in district court in McLeod County, Minnesota. Yates faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine on each charge.

Christian Post reports:

A witness told authorities in July that a family member of Yates “accidentally found” a hard drive containing child sexual abuse material “in Jason Yates’ office,” according to court records.

“It contained more than 100 sexually explicit images of children,” the district court document stated; Many of the photos are believed to be of children under 10 years old.

Yates was released “on his own recognizance” Monday on the condition that he not have any contact with anyone under 18, Ministry Watch reported.

According to Ministry Watch, Yates was listed as the CEO of My Faith Votes on the organization’s IRS Form 990 filed last year, and articles on the website were published with his signature as recently as July.

He is not currently listed as part of the leadership on the organization’s website. Instead, its “About” page identifies former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee as honorary national chairman and Sealy Yates, an attorney and relative of Jason Yates, as founder and president.

Author and conservative activist Dr. Ben Carson previously served as honorary chairman until assuming the role of Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development during the first Trump administration.

My Faith Votes was “founded in 2015 by Sealy Yates to empower millions of Christians to vote and uphold Biblical values,” according to its website.

Some of the sexually explicit images and videos involved children aged between five and seven. Accordingly IndependentYates met with investigators on September 13 and refused to give investigators a password to access encrypted files on the drive. Also heHe explained that he had a previous conviction related to child sexual abuse material, which was expunged.

“In early August 2024, the My Faith Votes board of directors separated Jason Yates from My Faith Votes and board member Chris Sadler assumed the position of Acting CEO,” a spokesperson for My Faith Votes told RNS.

A few weeks before the hard drive was discovered, Yates published an op-ed in the Washington Times. We encourage Christians to stand against “sexually perverted” messages aimed at children. The “deviant” messages he described included LGBTQ issues.

I’m starting to see a pattern here. This is not the LGBTQ community and this is not transgender. Them. Who knew! In other words, as long as he does not communicate with children, he is known. Did he swear to God that he wouldn’t do it? Did he make a promise with his little finger? The man should be behind bars.

Now I have to go vomit. Brb!
