Marshals arrested a Dixfield man on aggravated sexual assault charges

DIXFIELD — Authorities arrested a 60-year-old man wanted on charges of aggravated sexual assault in Dixfield.

The man, named David Ryan, was wanted by Manchester, New Hampshire police, who sought an arrest warrant for him in connection with the June charge.

According to a statement from the U.S. Marshals Service and the Maine Violent Offender Task Force, an investigation by the Marshals Service and the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force discovered that Ryan was a resident of Maine. After further work with the Maine Violent Offender Task Force, Ryan was located in Dixfield and safely arrested at a home there.

Ryan has been charged as a fugitive from justice and is expected to be extradited to New Hampshire, according to the statement.
