Man accused of attacking ex-girlfriend and her 7-year-old child arrested

KYLE, Texas – A. Kyle The man was arrested and faces multiple charges stemming from an incident that occurred in July 2024.

Kyle police say 25-year-old John Albiter is accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home on July 8.

Police said Arbiter sexually assaulted his ex-girlfriend and physically assaulted both her and her 7-year-old son.

Shortly after the incident, Albiter was arrested for assault domestic violence obstruction of breathing (smothering) in the 100 block of Simon.

Police said Albiter initially refused to go to the victim’s home, but further investigation revealed evidence that he went to the home on July 8.

Based on this new evidence, an arrest warrant was issued on November 7 and was executed in the 300 block of North Meyer Street.

Police said the arrest warrant includes additional charges of burglary with intent to commit other crimes, sexual assault, harm to a child and harassment.
