Conor McGregor: Dublin court hears rape accuser ‘lied’

Mr Farrell also asked Ms Hand about comments she made to her then-partner about taking a taxi with a friend after leaving the Beacon Hotel, where she claimed she was raped.

Ms Hand admitted this was untrue as she was alone in the taxi and said she made the comment to reassure her ex-partner that she was okay.

But Mr Farrell said the lies he told his former partner were all “part of the web of lies that you spun”.

He added: “You were lying to your ex-partner and he was catching you doing things.”

Ms Hand said she was upset, confused and hurt by what happened, saying she had lied to her ex-partner.

“I was raped and beaten a few hours before, so my mind wasn’t perfect at that time,” she told the court.

“I didn’t care about anything back then. All I cared about was my body and how much pain I was in. I didn’t care about anyone else.”
