Police are trying to identify smoke shop theft suspects

BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) – Bridgeport police were hoping the public could help them identify tobacco store burglary suspects.

They said they were alerted to a fight outside the S&B Tobacco Shop on Park Avenue on Sept. 23.

“The officer’s investigation revealed a robbery of the smoke store,” said Capt. Kevin Gilleran of the Bridgeport police. “An employee at the store noticed a suspect stealing several items and chased him into the street.”

Police said security camera footage from the business revealed at least two more suspects.

Detectives responded and assumed responsibility for the criminal investigation.

They said they explored the area, conducted interviews and documented their research.

The Bridgeport Police Department asked for help solving the crime.
