37-year-old man dies after being hit by car in West Seneca

WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WKBW) — West Seneca Police say a 37-year-old man died after being struck by a car Thursday night.

The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Mineral Springs Road. Police believe the victim, identified as Darnell Collins, was walking or standing in the roadway at the time of the crash.

First responders attempted CPR and other life-saving measures on Collins but were ultimately unsuccessful and Collins was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Police said the vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene. It was stated that the driver and his passengers were not injured.

The investigation into the accident continues. No charges were filed.
