Bradley Nelson: Police investigation after child shaken as baby dies

In the years following the attack, Bradley required “24-hour care” and was unable to walk, talk or eat, according to his mother.

He underwent several surgeries and experienced complications and infections.

Ms Boocock said at the time her life was devoted to staying at home to care for Bradley.

“I couldn’t go anywhere after 5 p.m. because Bradley was coming home from school and I was home,” he said.

She described how she juggled her bartending job to make “whatever money she could” and said she was “learning to live again.”

Bradley was sent home from school last month after complaining about feeling sleepy.

He was taken to hospital and Ms Boocock and her partner Jonny Nelson were told he had suffered a seizure after losing consciousness.

Bradley died on October 22 after suffering a heart attack.
