Suspect in murder of Thomson teenager transferred to adult prison

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A suspect was involved Murder of 14-year-old Thomson He was transferred to be housed with other adults at the McDuffie County Jail.

Teyiceazhia Williams, now 17 years old, was arrested in 2023 and charged with felony murder for her involvement.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation told us Friday that Williams has been charged as an adult in the incident.

Williams was 16 at the time of his arrest and was initially taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.

The agency said there are no new updates on the case and that the case is still active and ongoing.

Victim, 14-year-old Jonathan Johnson died on Saturday He was injured with a bullet in the head at 11:31.

Dequadrez Walker, 18, and Camerin McNair, 15, were also arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during a felony and gang charges.

After Johnson’s death, the case was upgraded to a murder investigation and additional felony murder warrants were obtained for Walker and McNair.

Walker was taken to the McDuffie County Jail and McNair was taken to the Augusta Youth Detention Center.
