South Africa won the toss and asked India to bat first in the IND vs SA 1st T20I

South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and chose to bowl first against India. Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, decided to field their experienced players without introducing newcomers from the bench for the first time.

South Africa’s record at Kingsmead in Durban is quite impressive. Proteas won 5 and lost 6 of the 11 matches played here. Even more worrying is their recent performance, losing their last four matches at home.

The IND vs SA T20I series marks Suryakumar Yadav’s first overseas tour as captain. Durban proved to be a suitable home ground for India and the team won four of the five matches played there. The Indian side has achieved significant success in this field in T20Is. This was where Yuvraj Singh made history in 2007 by hitting six consecutive sixes.
