Man killed in alleged knife attack in Adelaide’s CBD photographed

A man has been charged with murder over an alleged stabbing at an apartment complex in Adelaide’s CBD.

Lewis Parkin, 23, was discovered by first responders at the west end of Hindley Street just before 8 p.m. Friday.

The person was taken to the hospital and later died from his injuries.

A 42-year-old man from St Marys in Adelaide’s southern suburbs was arrested by police after he was found several kilometers away near the Torrens River.

Police said he left the accommodation before emergency services arrived.

Man denied bail and expected to appear earlier Adelaide Magistrates Court on 11 November.

Police said Saturday that the two men knew each other and the incident was not considered random.
