The woman dies during treatment; family alleges rape and murder by teenagers

Tension is mounting in Canning in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district following reports of the suspected rape of a woman in a hostel.

The suspect in this case, the young man who first accompanied the woman to the lodging in question, then took her to a nearby doctor’s office and later died, has disappeared.

After the victim’s family members filed a rape and murder complaint against the suspect at the local police station, the police started the investigation process and followed the young man.

While the body of the 47-year-old victim is being sent for autopsy, it will be clear after the autopsy report whether the incident was rape or murder.

South 24 Parganas district police sources said that according to initial information obtained after interrogation of the lodge staff and the attending doctor, the woman accompanied by the suspect arrived at the lodge on Friday afternoon.

The same evening, the suspect left the room he rented in the lodging and told the employees that the woman was seriously ill.

He then took the woman to a nearby doctor with the help of lodge staff.

While the doctor was busy examining him, the suspect quietly left the room and then disappeared.

Later on Friday night, the woman died and the local police station was informed.

The cops then notified the victim’s family members; The victim filed a rape and murder complaint against the suspect at the local police station on Saturday morning.

While the police launched an investigation into the incident, they also sealed the room of the hostel rented by the suspect.

Meanwhile, local people told members of the press that the activities in the lodge in question have been questioned for a long time and that it is suspected to be the center of illegal activities.

West Bengal has been in negative headlines for the last few months following reports of a spate of rape, rape and murder cases, and in most cases, the victims were minors.

The most talked about incident in the recent past was the rape and murder of a resident doctor at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata in the hospital premises in August this year.
