Gardaí investigating burglaries in Cavan



Gardaí are appealing to the public for information following a number of thefts reported in Cavan in recent days and weeks.

At Cavan’s home, a vacant home in the Keadue area was unlawfully entered between 4pm on October 16th and 5pm on October 17th.

Some cash, an engagement ring, an eternity ring and a gold necklace were stolen during the burglary, all of which are of great sentimental value to the homeowner.

Burglars attacked at Canningstown Corrygarry, near Cootehill, between 7.15pm and 8.15pm on Saturday, October 19, while homeowners were attending mass.

The house was broken into and the rooms were ransacked, a brown lady’s purse containing some money was stolen.

Also in the Cootehill area, Gardaí are investigating a burglary that occurred between 7.10pm and 8.30pm on Station Road on the same date (19 October), during which a significant quantity of jewelery was taken, including gold rings, chains and bracelets.
