Clever, Mo. police chief charged with domestic assault

CLEVER, Mo. (KY3) – The city of Clever police chief has been charged in connection with a domestic incident this week.

Michael Evans, 49, is charged with second-degree domestic assault, according to court records.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office said around 10 p.m. on Nov. 7, deputies responded to the 3700 block of W. Wilderness Avenue for a disturbance.

The Clever City Police Department Clerk confirmed with KY3 that Evans is the police chief. Evans is in the Greene County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
