Two men arrested over £2,000 worth of tools stolen from workplace van

Police said the owner of the van provided a description of the car and the passengers seen leaving the scene.

Twenty-five minutes later, police managed to track down the vehicle.

A police spokesman said it contained a “significant” number of tools thought to have been stolen.

PO Greening added: “We are committed to responding strongly to such reports and have recently implemented additional resources that will enable us to respond quickly to any reports.”

He appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time of the reported incident or who has doorbell or dashcam footage to call 101.
