FEMA worker allegedly told Hurricane Milton relief crew to stay away from homes with Trump signs in Florida

(CNN) – The Federal Emergency Management Agency says one of its employees advised disaster relief crews to stay away from homes with signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump.

It happened in Florida after Hurricane Milton.

A FEMA spokesperson said in a statement that the agency was “deeply disturbed by this employee’s actions” and that the incident is under investigation.

The agency did not identify the employee but said he had been dismissed.

The spokesperson said that FEMA assigned a new team to knock on the doors of people who could not be reached before due to this incident.
