CHICAGO (Wales) — At least 12 people were shot, two fatally, in gun violence in Chicago this weekend, police said.

The news develops as follows.

CPD says 68-year-old man killed in South Side shooting

There was a 68 year old man He was shot dead in the early hours of Saturday in the city’s Gresham neighborhood, Chicago police said. The incident occurred around 3:25 a.m. in the 8400 block. South May Street.

A witness told police he was at his home when he heard gunshots coming from outside. He said he went outside and found the man unresponsive on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The Chicago Fire Department treated the victim at the scene and transported him to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he died.

There is no one in custody. Second Precinct Detectives are investigating.
