KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — A 50-year-old foreign woman was among four people arrested on suspicion of providing sex services in an operation codenamed “IOp Noda” in Bukit Bintang district last night.

Dang Wangi District Police Chief ACP Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said the raid was carried out by the Kuala Lumpur police force’s Anti-Immoral, Gambling and Secret Societies Section at around 11.30pm yesterday.

He said that all of the 5 people arrested, aged between 35 and 50, were foreign nationals and did not have identity documents.

When contacted today, he said that these people were nationals of Iran, Uzbekistan and Thailand and were suspected of entering the country as tourists to carry out prostitution activities.

He said police had orders that they be detained for four days from today for investigation under Section 372B of the Criminal Code and Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63. — Bernama
