Canadian High Commission under increased security measures following protests by Hindu Sikh Global Forum

NEW DELHI: Security has been tightened outside the Canadian High Commission in Chanakyapuri district after a Hindu-Sikh group protested against an attack on a Hindu Temple in Canada.

Many Sikh protesters scaled barricades and chanted slogans against violence inside a temple in Brampton, Canada.

The protest was organized under the banner of Hindu Sikh Global Forum.

Delhi Police was seen pleading with the protesters to stay behind the barricades.

“Following the call for a protest march, we deployed additional force and set up barricades outside the Canadian High Commission. Our teams do not allow anyone to violate law and order,” a senior police officer said.
