Fire at Coventry house that killed two people was caused by converted e-bike | UK News

A converted e-bike caused a house fire in Coventry that killed two people on Friday, according to the fire service.

Fire crews were dispatched to the first-floor maisonette at The Coppice in Stoke Aldermoor in the early hours of Friday.

They arrived at 4.40am and found the fire had burned the entire property.

Two unidentified people were caught died at the scene. The fire was completely extinguished at 05.55.

West Midlands The Fire and Rescue Service has announced that the investigation into the cause of the fire is now complete.

They described it as “accidental” and said it involved “a mobile bike converted into an electric bike that was stored in the corridor of the property.”

“No further information about the victims who unfortunately lost their lives in this tragic accident or the cause of the incident will be released at this time,” the fire department said in a statement. The statement was included.

“Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this tragic accident.”
