3 people arrested in 0 thousand drug raid in Minden

MINDEN, La. (KSLA) – A months-long investigation resulted in a drug bust in Minden that led to the arrest of three men who allegedly intended to distribute drugs, including fentanyl.

On November 8, after a months-long investigation, three people were arrested and over $150,000 worth of drugs were seized from a home on Moore Street. The raid began at 10:30 p.m. during a traffic stop on I-20 by a Webster County Sheriff’s Office deputy and an officer with Minden Police Department K9 officer Tigo.

Following a stop and execution of a search warrant for the home in the 700 block of Moore Street, the investigation resulted in the seizure of drugs and the arrest of two Minden residents and a Balch Spring, Texas woman.

“These drugs were heading onto our streets,” Webster County Sheriff Jason Parker said. “We are determined to do everything we can to stop the flow of illegal drugs into our neighborhoods and towns.”

Arrested:

  • Jegerwick Hollingsworth, 33, of Minden, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of Fentanyl with intent to distribute, resisting an officer with force and speeding.
  • Tereasa Bables, 35, of Balch Spring, Texas, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and resisting an officer by fleeing. and obstruction of justice.
  • James Biden, 40, of Minden, was arrested on charges of possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute and obstruction of justice.

All three were held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Facility and no bond was set.

Parker, Moore St. He said he had 10 pounds of methamphetamine, 10 pounds of cocaine, some marijuana and a large amount of pills at his residence.

“Our departments have been working on this issue for some time, and it really speaks to what we can accomplish when agencies come together,” Parker said. “We appreciate all the investigators who worked hard to capture these suspects.”

Minden Police Chief Jared McIver agreed that combining resources has yielded positive results in the city and region.

“I think citizens appreciate it when they see police officers and deputies working together to solve crimes and keep both our city and our neighborhoods safer,” McIver said. “We have partnerships that benefit all of our people.”
