2 dead in separate shooting and stabbing incidents in London – World

LONDON – Two people were killed and several others were injured in two separate shootings and stabbings in London, police said Sunday.

One person died and two others were injured in a shooting attack in a residential area in south London.

Police are still searching for the suspect and no arrests have been made in what one police chief described as a “senseless act of violence.”

Also in south London, in an unrelated incident, a man died after three people were stabbed in a market on Sunday, according to police.

A man in his 60s was detained at the scene. It was understood that the incident was related to mental health and was not considered terrorism.
