The woman who was allegedly involved in the rape of a minor was arrested

Delhi Police arrested a 23-year-old woman from Ludhiana for her alleged involvement in the rape case of a minor.

The accused was declared guilty in the case registered at Kanjhawala police station here five years ago, officials said on Sunday.

According to a senior police officer, the incident took place in November 2019. The victim, who was 15 years old at the time, was first reported missing by his family, and a search operation was then launched.

He said that after investigation, it was revealed that the minor was duped by one Geeta. The woman allegedly took the teenager to Surat in Gujarat, where she was held captive, drugged and raped repeatedly by two men.

The girl’s statement was recorded in 2020 after the woman abandoned her in Delhi.

She told the police that she alleged that two men, Pintu and Satinder, acting on Geeta’s instructions, raped her repeatedly for about four months.

“The SIM card of the victim’s phone was destroyed and contact with anyone was completely lost,” the officer said.
