Victim injured in hammer attack near Tulane campus, police say

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – One victim was injured in a hammer attack near Tulane University’s downtown campus Sunday evening (Nov. 10), according to police.

The attack occurred around 5:50 p.m., when the victim reported being struck in the head with a hammer by one of two assailants while walking behind the New Orleans Public Library near Duncan Plaza or on Loyola Boulevard.

The identities of the attackers are unknown for now.
