Mamma Lucia closes in Parkville after 26 years

PARKVILLE, Md. — A long-running Parkville restaurant is closing this month.

Mamma Lucia Italian restaurant, located in the Perring Plaza shopping center on Joppa Road, has announced that it will close its doors after 26 years.

The restaurant is scheduled to close at the end of November.

Owners Fausto and Luisa Illiano said in a Facebook post:

It is with deep sadness that we announce that our restaurant will be closing soon. After 26 unforgettable years, we are closing our doors at the end of November 2024…
It has been a privilege to serve this community and we sincerely hope that the spirit of togetherness continues to thrive. With our deepest gratitude and warmest wishes, we encourage you to stay safe and care for each other. You will all be missed very much.

The owners also hinted at a possible future restaurant, saying: “Stay tuned… a potential new restaurant is opening soon. Exciting times ahead!”

Perring Plaza has not announced a new tenant for the space.
