Man arrested by Greene County SWAT team after refusing to leave home during domestic assault

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A man was arrested Sunday morning after refusing to leave his home and following a domestic assault.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 3200 block of W. Reese Street for a domestic assault.

When deputies arrived, they found the 23-year-old suspect was still inside the home and refused to come out. The Greene County SWAT team was activated and a search warrant was obtained for the home.

The sheriff’s office said the SWAT team entered the home and took the suspect into custody. He was booked into the Greene County Jail under a $10,000 bond on charges of second-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.
