Whitley Co. woman faces drug trafficking charges

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A woman was confronted by multiple people after the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office was called to file a complaint in a business parking lot.

A complaint filed with the London-Laurel County 911 Communications Center reported that a woman had passed out in a vehicle there. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 44-year-old Lissa Bryant of Williamsburg and noticed that she appeared to have passed out and had her foot on the gas with the engine running.

Deputies also found a glass pipe, two clear baggies containing gabapentin and a clear crystalline substance believed to be meth.

When deputies were able to wake Bryant up, they determined he was under the influence and wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
